Sales Consultant

About the Role

As a Sales Consultant at Smart Solar Group, you will be the first point of contact for potential customers. You will conduct in-home and virtual consultations, assess energy needs, design custom solar solutions, and present proposals that help families save thousands on their electricity bills. This is a rewarding role where you genuinely help people while earning excellent commissions.

Responsibilities

• Respond to leads from marketing campaigns, referrals, and walk-ins
• Conduct in-home and virtual solar consultations
• Assess customer energy usage and design appropriate solar solutions
• Prepare and present detailed solar proposals and savings projections
• Guide customers through finance options and rebate eligibility
• Follow up with leads and manage your sales pipeline in the CRM
• Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, rebates, and industry trends

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year sales experience (solar experience preferred but not essential)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Genuine passion for helping customers and renewable energy
• Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset
• Current Queensland driver's licence
• Proficiency with CRM systems and digital tools
• Professional presentation and demeanour
• Willingness to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends

Nice to Have

• Previous solar or energy industry experience
• Knowledge of solar system design and components
• Experience with STC rebate calculations
• Existing network in the North Queensland community
