Project Coordinator

About the Role

As a Project Coordinator at Smart Solar Group, you will be the backbone of our operations. You will manage the end-to-end delivery of solar installation projects, ensuring every job runs smoothly from contract signing to final commissioning. You will liaise between customers, installation teams, suppliers, and grid authorities to deliver an exceptional experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate solar installation projects from sale to completion
• Schedule installation teams and manage project timelines
• Order equipment and manage inventory with suppliers
• Submit grid connection applications to electricity distributors
• Process STC rebate claims through the Clean Energy Regulator
• Communicate project updates to customers proactively
• Resolve project issues and escalations efficiently
• Maintain accurate project records in the management system
• Coordinate site inspections and council approvals where required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience in project coordination or management
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
• Customer-focused attitude
• Knowledge of the solar or construction industry (preferred)

Nice to Have

• Experience with solar project management
• Familiarity with Ergon Energy grid connection processes
• Understanding of STC and rebate processes
• Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP)
